Trump’s Plan for Coal Emissions: Let Coal States Regulate Them:
“The Trump administration next week plans to formally propose a vast overhaul of climate change regulations that would allow individual states to decide how, or even whether, to curb carbon dioxide emissions from coal plants, according to a summary of the plan and details provided by three people who have seen the full proposal.
The plan would also relax pollution rules for power plants that need upgrades. That, combined with allowing states to set their own rules, creates a serious risk that emissions, which had been falling, could start to rise again, according to environmentalists.“
2018 Is Shaping Up to Be the Fourth-Hottest Year. Yet We’re Still Not Prepared for Global Warming.:
“This summer of fire and swelter looks a lot like the futurethat scientists have been warning about in the era of climate change, and it’s revealing in real time how unprepared much of the world remains for life on a hotter planet.
The disruptions to everyday life have been far-reaching and devastating. “

Pruitt’s replacement ‘should scare anyone who breathes’:
“The man taking the reins at the Environmental Protection Agency after Scott Pruitt’s downfall is a longtime Washington insider and coal lobbyist who is set to pursue the same anti-regulation agenda — only without all of Pruitt’s baggage.“
Help us continue to fight back against the madness.
Global impact of oilsands growth could counteract Canada’s promised carbon cuts:
“Climate change is about fossil fuels. Most everyone gets that we need to burn way less coal, gas, and oil. But it can be more difficult to reckon with what this also means: we need to dig up way less of these fuels.
...Adding more than a billion barrels to the global oil market has climate consequences that should be obvious.“

Tell Congress: It’s time for Scott Pruitt to resign or be fired!:
How does Scott Pruitt still have a job? With every passing day the list of Pruitt’s scandals grows larger, and ever more bizarre. It’s enough to make your head spin.
This week we learned that Pruitt had his staff assisting him with improper personal tasks – like trying to procure a used mattress from the Trump hotel (yes, you read that right). Pruitt also used his position, and his staff’s time, to try to pursue a Chick-fil-A franchise for his wife.
And then we found out that he had his expensive security detail running personal errands, like picking up dry cleaning (as well as his favorite fancy moisturizing lotion.) Amid growing scandals, it’s no wonder that this week two more of Pruitt’s top aides resigned.
